The Santa Rosa district is 84 km east of the City of Mendoza. Most of its land comprises desert. Cultivation has been possible thanks to the water of the Tunuyán River.

This region has the greatest extension of land covered by vineyards in South America, and it has been undergoing a significant grape conversion process towards quality varietals. It is ideal for agricultural tourism.

Some of the advantages of this region are: the availability of lands for cultivation, young vineyards and optimum agricultural and ecological conditions, suitable for quality grape growing.
